About This E-Book

👉 Footprints on the Wonderful Path to Buddhahood
📖 Background and Introduction
Author
The book was written by the Most Venerable Nā Uyana Ariyadhamma Mahāthera (1939–2016),
a highly respected contemporary meditation master and senior monk of the
Sri Kalyani Yogasrama Samstha, the Sri Lankan forest monastic tradition known for its strict observance of the Vinaya discipline.
Overview of the Book
This book was compiled from the handwritten diaries and autobiographical manuscripts personally written by the Most Venerable Mahāthera during his lifetime.
The Venerable Mahāthera had expressed his wish that the manuscript
should not be made public during his lifetime. Therefore, after his passing away in 2016,
the book was officially published in 2019 for the first time in Sinhala,
under the title Asirimat Budumaga Piyasaṭahan. It was later translated into English and Chinese.
The book provides a detailed account of his journey of renunciation and monastic practice from childhood onwards, his profound experiences in Samatha and Vipassanā meditation, as well as his aspiration to cultivate the Bodhisatta path and his extraordinary aspiration towards the attainment of Buddhahood in the future.
