About This E-Book
In order to facilitate Chinese speaking Buddhists to learn Buddhism more deeply in bilingual medium, especially in order to prepare them for the Malaysian TheraVāda Buddhist Examination, DhammaJāta Publication is willing to compile the past year examination question papers of the TheraVāda Buddhist examination into an ebook that can be copied and freely distributed with Chinese translation, answers for the questions and Pāḷi texts provided as a compliment to the examination papers. This bilingual electronic edition will serve as an important reference to learn Buddhist doctrine for both Chinese-speaking and English-speaking Buddhists. Meanwhile, it will aid those who are willing to participate in the Malaysian Buddhist Examination.
At present, these papers are only available in printed copies and scanned soft copies which is inconvient for both doctrinal study and citation. Therefore we are attempting to make them more available, duplicable and user-friendly. These papers will be compiled into four volumes, namely Preliminary Exam, Junior Exam, Senior Exam and Higher Exam. The exam question papers edited are from 2003 to 2018. DhammaJāta Publication hopes this compilation will help readers to understand Buddhism, and then practice it all the way towards the eradication of all the mental defilements and be free from all sufferings.
