Environmental Education + Family Practice of the Ten Meritorious Deeds
In response to World Environment Day on June 5th, Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation • Malaysia Chapter • Tambun joins hands with DhammaJāta Dhamma Class to lead us all in embracing a green lifestyle!
Environmental education holds profound significance for every family and child. Through environmental education, we can cultivate children's environmental awareness and sense of responsibility, helping them understand the importance and finiteness of natural resources so that they learn from a young age to cherish resources and avoid waste.
Tzu Chi, as an active promoter and exemplary practitioner of environmental awareness, has consistently placed great emphasis on ecological civilization education. They continuously promote environmental education, helping society develop the good habits of energy conservation and environmental protection, and guiding the community toward a green, low-carbon lifestyle.
Environmental education is a vast systemic project and a long-term strategic mission that requires the collective effort of the whole of society. DhammaJāta is fully committed to contributing to a green lifestyle and actively collaborates in cultivating a healthy, civilized, and uplifting ecological culture for the new generation.
Environmental education guides students to continuously strengthen their understanding of the concept that "humanity and nature form a community of life" and that "all life on Earth shares one common home." Economic development should not deplete resources and the ecological environment at the expense of sustainability, nor should ecological protection be pursued at the cost of economic development. A sound ecological environment becomes a growth point for people's quality of life.
Environmental concepts should be made visible, audible, and deeply rooted in people's minds through various channels. Young people should be educated to start with small actions and develop green, eco-friendly, low-carbon, moderate, and healthy behavioral habits and consumption patterns.
Young people are not only the vital force in building an ecological civilization but also the practitioners and drivers of a beautiful home for humanity. Deepening ecological civilization education means guiding young people to collectively address global ecological issues, contribute their wisdom to international cooperation on climate change and the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development, and become active builders of a beautiful home for humanity.
DhammaJāta Youth Group invites everyone to join this environmental event, so that environmental awareness can accompany every family and child, while also fostering family and social connections. May every child learn gratitude and express their respect and love for Mother Earth.
May the seed of environmental awareness take root in the hearts of every child as they grow, and may the seeds of green be planted deep in the hearts of the next generation!
